1. About The Houston Taxi

The Houston Taxi is a licensed private transportation service operating in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. We provide airport transfers, Galveston cruise port shuttles, corporate transportation and private city rides.

By booking our services you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms please do not proceed with a booking.

2. Bookings & Reservations

Pre-booking is required for all airport transfers and Galveston cruise port shuttles. Same-day bookings may be accepted subject to driver availability.

• All bookings must include accurate pickup location, destination, date, time and flight number (for airport pickups)
• A booking is confirmed only when you receive confirmation from The Houston Taxi by phone, WhatsApp or email
• It is the passenger’s responsibility to provide correct contact information and flight details
• The Houston Taxi reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion

3. Pricing & Flat Rates

All quoted prices are flat rates per vehicle, not per person. Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and remain fixed regardless of traffic conditions, time of day, day of week or demand.

• Flat rates cover the journey from pickup to destination only
• Additional stops not included in the original booking may incur extra charges
• Waiting time beyond the standard complimentary period may incur additional fees
• Prices are subject to change for new bookings but confirmed bookings are protected at the quoted rate
• Child car seats are available on request — please enquire at time of booking

4. Flight Tracking & Airport Pickups

The Houston Taxi monitors inbound flights in real time for all airport pickup bookings. If your flight is delayed your driver will adjust the pickup time accordingly at no extra charge.

• Passengers must provide their correct flight number at the time of booking
• If a flight number changes passengers must notify us as soon as possible
• For IAH pickups your driver will meet you at the Ground Transportation area of your terminal with a name sign
• For HOU pickups your driver will meet you outside baggage claim with a name sign
• The Houston Taxi allows a standard waiting period after baggage collection. Extended waiting beyond this period may incur additional charges

5. Cancellations & No-Shows

We understand that travel plans can change. Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or modify your booking.

• Cancellations made 24 hours or more before pickup: Full refund or free rescheduling
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup: A cancellation fee may apply
• No-show (passenger not present at agreed pickup time and location): Full fare may be charged
• The Houston Taxi reserves the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances including severe weather, vehicle breakdown or driver emergency. In such cases a full refund will be issued or an alternative vehicle arranged.

6. Passenger Conduct

All passengers are expected to behave respectfully towards our drivers and vehicles. The Houston Taxi reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a journey without refund if a passenger:

• Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs and is disruptive or abusive
• Causes damage to the vehicle or its contents
• Behaves in a threatening, abusive or illegal manner towards the driver
• Exceeds the stated maximum passenger capacity of the booked vehicle

Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during their journey. Cleaning fees will be charged for any mess requiring professional cleaning.

7. Luggage

Our drivers will assist with luggage at pickup and dropoff. Passengers are responsible for ensuring all luggage is loaded and unloaded.

• The Houston Taxi is not liable for loss or damage to luggage or personal belongings
• Excessive or oversized luggage should be declared at the time of booking to ensure an appropriate vehicle is assigned
• Passengers travelling with unusual items including sports equipment, large musical instruments or mobility equipment must notify us at booking

8. Child Car Seats

Child car seats are available on request and must be requested at the time of booking. The Houston Taxi will make every effort to provide the appropriate seat for the child’s age and weight.

• Parents and guardians are responsible for correctly fitting and securing child car seats
• The Houston Taxi is not liable for incorrect installation of child car seats by the passenger

9. Liability

The Houston Taxi carries full commercial insurance for passenger transportation. Our liability is limited to direct losses caused by our negligence.

• The Houston Taxi is not liable for missed flights, missed cruise departures or other consequential losses resulting from traffic delays, road closures, accidents or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
• Passengers are strongly advised to allow sufficient time for their journey and to purchase appropriate travel insurance
• The Houston Taxi is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle

10. Privacy & Data

The Houston Taxi collects personal information including name, phone number, email and travel details solely for the purpose of fulfilling your booking.

• Your information is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes
• Booking information may be retained for record-keeping and customer service purposes
• By making a booking you consent to The Houston Taxi using your contact details to communicate about your booking

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States of America. Any disputes arising from bookings with The Houston Taxi shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Harris County, Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

The Houston Taxi reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
